These are the meanings of the names of the days:

    1-(Saturday): It is the first day of the week and means rest because it was in the past the last day of the week as we mentioned and it is called Saturday because it is separated from the rest of the days because it is the last day of the week for the Arabs before Islam.

    2-(Sunday): In the Arabic language, it is taken from the number one and it was named thus because the Arabs in the past used to start the week with it, so it is the first day

    3-(Monday): In the Arabic language, it means the second day, so it is the second day of the week after (Saturday).

    4-(Tuesday): Its origin is taken from the number three, it is the third day of the week after (Saturday).

    5-(Wednesday): Its origin is taken from the number four, it is the fourth day of the week after (Saturday).

    6-(Thursday): Its origin is taken from the number five, it is the fifth day of the week after (Saturday).

    7-(Friday): Its origin is taken from the meeting or taken from the (Friday) prayer, it is the sixth day of the week after (Saturday) and sometimes the Arabs name the whole week and say (Friday) meaning the whole week.

    For example, you say I will meet you after (Friday) meaning after a week.
