Many of the noble verses urge the order and importance of knowledge

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

With knowledge, the nations advance, morals are risen, minds are enlightened, and man moves from darkness to light. The first thing that God Almighty told our noble Messenger is in the Almighty’s saying: “Recite in the name of your Lord who created. * He created humans from a clinging clot. * Recite, and your Lord is the Most Generous * who taught by the pen * He taught humanity what they knew not) God Almighty has commanded our noble Messenger and everyone in his nation to read, think, and seek knowledge.

With the knowledge, the Islamic nation advances and returns to its strength to what it were during the era of the Prophet and the honorable companions. Many of the noble verses urge the order and importance of knowledge, as the Almighty’s saying, “And say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.’” How beautiful is this supplication in the noble verse! When God Almighty increases his servant with knowledge that is useful and more lasting than adding wealth and prestige to him.

Knowledge, as an obligation, is the purpose that brings money, prestige, elevation, and prosperity

Knowledge, as an obligation, is the purpose that brings money, prestige, elevation, and prosperity. The moral and cultural deterioration and humiliation that the nation is in now is due to our neglect of seeking knowledge and our ignorance of topics and religious sciences that it is an individual obligation for every Muslim. Is the ignorant person equal to the knower? God Almighty said: “Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not know”

The Sunnah of our generous messenger is not devoid of hadiths that urge the importance of seeking knowledge and the status of those who follow a path in the pursuit of knowledge. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, God will facilitate for him a path to Paradise therewith.” Narrated by Muslim.

The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, confirmed that knowledge is an obligation imposed on every Muslim. He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: (Seeking knowledge is an obligation on every Muslim.) So the Prophet affirms to us that seeking knowledge is an obligation like the rest of the obligations and that whoever abandons it is a sinner and will be held accountable for his ignorance, if he is able to do so. To learn without seeking that knowledge

Knowledge has been a cause for the progress and elevation of everyone who took a path to it. It is worth knowing that most of the scholars who served the Islamic and Arab sciences are essentially non-Arabs, and non-Arab scholars of the Salaf, such as the example of Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, al-Khalil ibn Ahmad, Sibawayh, and others. Among the contemporary non-Arab scholars who served the Islamic sciences are Sheikh Al-Albani, Abu al-Ala al-Mawdudi, and other scientists. If this indicates anything, it indicates that the leadership and pioneering of the Shari’a and religious sciences are not limited to the Arabs only. Rather, it is obligatory for every Muslim to learn the Shari’a sciences and its branches, such as doctrine, interpretation, hadith, biography, and jurisprudence. And other Islamic sciences. In conclusion, we ask God Almighty to grant us sincerity in seeking knowledge and to raise our ranks as He promised us in the Almighty’s saying: “God will elevate those of you who are faithful and raise those who gifted with knowledge in ranks, and Allah is all-aware of what you do.”
